Our Vision

Steve with his mother Maggie. Steve has a brain injuryA sustainable life time care and support system that enables young disabled Australians with high and complex health and support needs to access the supports and services they need in a timely and effective manner.

Our Mission

To ensure choice in accommodation and support options for young Australians with high or complex support needs; and support young people, their families and social networks in the exercise of that choice.

Our Objectives

  • Encourage a collaborative approach to service development by all stakeholders that ensures young people, their families and social networks have an active and ongoing voice in these developments
  • Provide information about best practice in accommodation and support services design and provision to all stakeholders
  • Support younger people and their families to become educated and informed about the support and accommodation options available to them
  • Help younger people and their families consult with service developers and participate successfully in service development opportunities
  • Assist aged care, disability and health service providers to understand the different support needs and requirements of younger people with acquired disabilities and high or complex support needs
  • Support state disability systems in the development of infrastructures needed to deliver the accommodation and support services required by younger people with acquired disabilities and high/complex support needs.
  • Work with governments to develop the policies and systemic changes needed to deliver an effective and sustainable life term care and support system for all Australians with disability
