Brain Injury SA
Brain Injury SA is for people with Acquired Brain Injury
As a Peak Body and a Service Provider, Brain Injury SA works with and for the ABI community to:
- Empower people to determine and work towards their goals
- Provide tailored and accessible therapy services to maximise quality of life

Synapse - Australia’s Brain Injury Organisation
Synapse is Australia’s Brain Injury Organisation. Synapse provides a range of support services for people who have been impacted by brain injury and disability. These services promote quality of life, self-determination, and choice through information, specialist support, and targeted research activities.
Synapse’s mission is to ensure the rights of people impacted by brain injury, connecting knowledge, policy, services, and systems. Synapse focuses on both government and public support to realise funding for the development of specialist services nationally.

Brain Injury Matters (BIM)
Brain Injury Matters (BIM) is a self-advocacy and community education organisation run by and for people with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). All office bearers and committee of management members have ABI. As a Disabled People's Organisation, we are a voice of people living with ABI in Victoria.
Formed over 20 years ago, BIM was the first incorporated ABI self-advocacy organisation entirely led by people with ABI in Australia. Originally known as Bear In Mind, the organisation was incorporated on the 25th October 1999.
