Older persons missing out

Advocates are calling for more to be done to fund and support the needs of seniors living with a disability.

In Australia more than half (53 per cent) of people aged 65 years and over, report having some form of disability, sometimes acquired before their sixty-fifth birthday.

However, the aged care system’s support for these individuals is limited, with those over 65 receiving less than NDIS participants.
